South Dakota Marathon

On October 2nd Mark added yet another marathon to his list!  We headed to Hill City, SD with his cousins Brian and Kristen for the marathon.  It was a great trip and both Mark and Brian did fantastic in the race despite the huge elevation increase and the unusually warm temperatures (85 degrees in October!!!).  Grace and I loved having Kristen there to hang out with while the boys ran the race.

The obligatory picture as we entered into Wyoming...the sign wasn't nearly as impressive entering into SD--so no pics of that!

 Hills City has a great train that you can take.  We didn't have the time to do the train trip but we did play around at the station a bit.

 While the boys ran, G, Kristen, and I headed to Mt. Rushmore.  It was okay...we can now say we saw it.

We got back from Mt. Rushmore just in time to see the boys finish!  Way to go!!!
