Friday Night Lights

Grace has loved football for the last year.  Ever since we took her to the Colts game last season she can't stop talking about going to football games, shaking her pompons, and of course eating pizza (we had bought a personal pizza at the Colts game thinking the three of us would share it and she downed it all herself!).  So, we decided to take her to a high school football game.  We pointed out her future high school to her when we first moved to town and now every time we drive by she screams "Look, it's my high school!!!!"  Of course she was more than thrilled when we actually went to her high school for the game.  To add to the excitement, we got to see her babysitter Mac cheer and Mac brought pompons in the school colors over the night before the game for Grace to use.  We had a great time.  The only disappointment was the lack of pizza.  G settled for eating 2 boxes of popcorn!

Cheese!

School Fair

Grace's school had a fair mid-September.  There were games and two of Grace's favorite things...popcorn and pizza!

A Saturday in FoCo

As I mentioned before, during the month of September Grace was in gymnastics on Saturday mornings (we're taking October back but will start again in November).  Here is what a typical Saturday in September looked like for us...

You can see someone's getting a little grouchy in this last picture.  You can guess what was next on our agenda...nap time!  Love our Saturdays!

A visit and a teacher in the making

The weekend after the Borliks were here we had another visitor, Mark's Uncle Dave.  We had a great time showing him around, hiking, sharing some yummy meals, and watching some good football.  We so appreciate him adjusting his business trip to include a few days in FoCo!

Uncle Dave brought Grace a flute from his previous stop in Arizona.  She has loved it and often uses it when she is pretending that she is the teacher, which is currently her favorite game!  We caught this video a few weeks ago without her seeing us.  She is teaching her class :-)

Worms

Grace LOVES her rain boots so when we had a rainy day a few weeks ago (they are few and far between in FoCo!) she put them on, along with her Elmo poncho, and went looking for worms with Mark.

Ice Cream

Grace has picked up a very unhealthy habit from me--an unnatural obsession with ice cream!  Ooops!

Gotta love the saying!

Labor Day Weekend

The Borliks visited us on Labor Day weekend and we had an AMAZING time.  They arrived late Friday night and early Saturday we were up and hiking!  We got them up to the top of Horsetooth Mountain so they could enjoy the beautiful views of our new city.

That night, Mark's cousin, Kristen came up from Denver (she just moved there and we are so EXCITED to have her nearby!), we got a babysitter, and we hit up Old Town.

The next morning we had two active little girls.  After a walk to the local park, we headed to the farm so Grace could show Aunt Amy, Uncle Greg, and Anna one of her favorite spots.

Hugs!

"Here Anna, help me feed the animals!"

Remember when Grace was scared to ride a pony?  No longer!  Now she begs to ride "my pony, Brownie."

We had a low key Saturday night.  Grace was very excited to have Anna eat at the picnic table with her!

Of course one of the most fun times was bath time, with our two little monkeys in there together!

Love G's face in this one!

We set up Anna's pack and play in Grace's room and Grace loved having "sleep overs" with her cousin!

On Labor Day, we headed up to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park for a hike.  It was a perfect day to be outside!  On our way up, we ran across several cars stopped on the side of the winding road up to Estes Park.  Look what we saw on the side of the road on our way up...

A mountain sheep!

Look at those horns!

LOVE Anna's happy face!

After a great hike, it was back to Estes Park for lunch...

and of course more hugs!

The last thing on Grace's list of "must show Anna" was the splash park which is about 1 1/2 miles from us.  I think Anna liked the park just as much as Grace!

We had their bathing suits but didn't think they'd go in so didn't put them on.  Oops!

What a fun visit!  We miss you all so much and hope you come back again soon!
