Hair Cut
Grace got her hair cut last night. She was so good! The whole way there she kept telling me she needed a haircut because it was "in my eyes," she got excited when we pulled into the parking lot of the salon, sat still for Ms. Kathy, grinned when she got to pick out a blue sucker for being good, and proudly showed off her hair cut and curl to her daddy when we got home. This morning she let me brush her hair without the normal complaints and when I asked her if she thought people at school would notice her haircut, she replied, "Yes! It's pretty!" Much to her delight, Ms. Shawna complimented her haircut right away. She just beamed!

A visit to Saginaw
I had Spring Break last week so the first weekend of break Grace and I headed up to Michigan to spend some time with my parents. At the end of Spring Break, Mark and I had a trip planned to Colorado to start looking at houses so I left Grace up in MI with my mom. She had an awesome time and repeatedly told me "I like Mama and Papa's house!" Here are some pictures of when I was up there with her.
Celebrating Grandma's birthday--Grace probably sang "Happy to you" to my mom at least 50 times while she was up in Michigan--apparently the whole week was her birthday!

Grace has developed a phobia of getting her nails cut. My mom tried making a "spa night" so we could cut her toenails. She loved putting her feet in the sink but freaked out once the clippers came out. Mark and I actually had to pin her down this week to cut her fingernails. You would have thought we were beating her by her screams. Hope this phases passes--SOON!
Grandma got a Mickey Mouse folding table for Grace. She absolutely adored it and wanted to eat every meal at it. Only problem is it's also the perfect height for Daisy to grab food!

Hanging with G
Hanging out with Grace is perhaps one of the most fun things ever. She is FULL of personality and is so sweet and caring! Here are some fun Grace tidbits...

- She has taken to coming up, wrapping her arms around my neck and saying, "I love me too, Mommy!" I think she means to say "I love you too, Mommy!" I hope it's both!
- She loves to burst out in song. "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," "Pat-a-Cake," "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," and, of course, "The ABC's" are her current favorites. She sings "The ABC's" at least 20 times a day, if not more.
- Everyday she talks about "going shopping." Today I asked her what we were going to go shopping for and she replied, "milk!" Okay, I guess we go to the grocery store a lot. The outfit below is one of her "let's go shopping" outfits.

- She is obsessed with "time out." Although she freaks out when she is put in time out, she loves putting other people in time out. I have been put in time out, Mark has been put in time out, she has tried to put Daisy in time out, her dolls have put in time out, and tonight we spent about 20 minutes playing with her My Little Ponies and putting them in time out. Problem is she sometimes tries to egg us into putting her in time out (e.g., biting or hitting us while laughing).
- She loves to play puzzles and is getting very good at it. Her current favorite is an old puzzle of mine with a cat and a ball that I probably did 500 times when I was her age.
- She does a fairly good job picking up after herself while singing, "Clean up, clean up, everybody clean up!"
- She still loves books and even has a few that she "reads" to us and is actually pretty accurate because she has heard them so much.
- She is becoming a backseat driver directing us which direction we should go. "Go that way!" Which often sounds like "Go fay fay!"
- She LOVES Daisy. When I pick her up from school she asks to see Daddy and Daisy. She loves to feed Daisy. Has learned to call for Daisy when she accidentally drops food on the floor. She scolds Daisy for barking too much. And she loves to give Daisy hugs and kisses.
