Fun with the Fishers!

Last weekend we made a trip to Louisville to visit the Fisher family. We had so much fun!

The girls eating dinner Friday night

And of course dessert!

Grace has outgrown her port-a-crib. We had bought her an Aero bed made for toddlers. It has raise sides to help keep her from rolling out. We gave Grace the choice to sleep in the guest room with us or to sleep in Ellie's room with the girls--of course, she chose Ellie's room! The adults stayed up quite late chit chatting and went to bed dreading the early morning wake up of the girls. Much to our surprise, we woke up before them! Grace actually slept in until 7:45! Ellie shared with us that she did start crying for us in the middle of the night but sweet Ellie got up, patted her back, and told her, "Don't worry Grace, I'm sleeping right over there. Just come get me if you need anything." And Grace went back to sleep! Mark and I are now convinced that we need to adopt a big sister for Grace :-)

Snuggling Saturday morning

Breakfast time

Tickle time!

Since Grace wanted to do EVERYTHING the big girls we did we thought we might get her to wear pigtails all day. She let Nickie put them in but they didn't stay in!

After a relaxing morning we packed up and headed downtown for lunch at the Spaghetti Factory and a trip to the Science Center.

One of the fun things at the science center was getting to touch a machine that sent static electricity to our hair

At the Food Science demonstration

The girls reporting the news

And then watching their news report

After the Science Center we went for ice cream and then headed back to the Fishers. The girls took a bubble bath together and got ready for bed. We ordered pizza, watched a little football and then begrudgingly got on the road for home. It was a great time and we cannot wait for our next family rendezvous!
