We returned from Michigan last Saturday and headed to Indy on Sunday to go to the Colts game. Mark's parents were kind enough to give us their tickets for the game. We were able to buy a nosebleed seat for Grace and then she was able to sit with us. She LOVED it! Ever since college football started in the fall, Grace has been asking to watch football. Before we left for the game both Mark and I had put our jerseys on and Grace got upset and just kept saying, "My shirt? My shirt?" So of course the first thing we did when we got to Indy was head to the pro shop and get Grace a jersey too (she loved it and even wore it school on Friday!).

Grace checking out the stadium. On our way in she kept telling people, "I like football! Go Colts!"

Cheering them on with her pom pon

Mark and I thought we'd each get a little bit of this pizza, not so much--Grace devoured it. This past week we keep hearing her say, "I like football. I like pizza." I think the two go together in her head now!

Grace kept an eye on Blue the entire game
At half time we met our friends, the Whithams on the concourse. They have a daughter, Maggie, who is about 4 months older than Grace. We had never met Maggie before and although the girls were shy at first, within minutes they were the best of friends. We left knowing that we have to get together with them again soon!

They look like they could be sisters

Mirroring one another

Chasing one another (yes, probably not what we should be letting them do in a busy place but they both needed to run some energy off!)

Unprompted by us, they started hugging one another. It was adorable! The hugs however turned to tackles which were followed by fits of giggling! We had several people stop and tell us how cute the girls were :-)
The game from our seats

We ended up leaving with 8 minutes left of the game. Grace could have probably made it but she was getting restless so we decided to beat the traffic out. The Colts did end up winning by a last second field goal. Overall, was a really fun night for me and Mark and a great experience for Grace! She has talked about it all week--even asking Mark to stop and buy her a football on the way home from school Wednesday. He happily obliged!
