Happy New Year!

Even though we drove back from Michigan on New Year's Eve, we still wanted to celebrate with our friends, so we had three couples join us at our house. The Galls, Garrisons, and Kassens all converged in West Lafayette. It was a low key night but really nice to bring in 2009 with such a fun group. Grace woke up just before midnight so she was able to join in the festivities. Her friend Noah Gall however slept through the hoopla!

Moments before midnight--sound asleep in her swing

Noah--sleeping like a baby :)

Grace wasn't a fan of wearing the New Year's Hat but she certainly enjoyed it when Andy Garrison started "dancing" with her!

The ladies--Sara, Sarah, E, and Jill (the responsible adults at the party)

The boys--Ryan, Mark, Sean, and Andy (a little less "responsible" than the ladies)

On New Year's Day we were very low key--watch some football, took some naps, did a family dinner at Puccini's and then rented some movies. A perfect way to bring in the new year and to recuperate after all of our travels.

Grace "cheering" for her Hawkeyes. Luckily they won or else Daddy would have had the same face!

Maybe football really isn't Grace's thing. She slept through most of the games.

Wide awake at dinner. She can't wait for her teeth to come in so she can enjoy the pizza and pasta too!
