The BIG Move

On Sunday, June 12th, we packed up Grace and Daisy and took them to Indy. They had a great time hanging out with Nana and Papa. They went to the zoo, the mall, and got to say goodbye to Aunt Amy, Uncle Greg, and Anna.
On Wednesday, June 15th, they packed up my car which I had left in Indy (including these "gifts" that I had wrapped up for Grace to open along the trip), and headed to Omaha to meet us on our way to Colorado.

On the way they were able to stop and see some of Nana and Papa friends, the Rissmans. Grace had a great time playing at the park with them.

Meanwhile, we were spending our last days in West Lafayette. On Monday the packers came and put all of our stuff in boxes. It was surreal!

Then on Tuesday the truck came and the movers loaded everything.

It was great to have our evenings to spend time with our friends. We had two great nights with our Purdue people...we miss them so much! We stayed in an empty house on Tuesday night and then on early Wednesday morning we left our wonderful, little house of six years for the last time. What a great house it was for us. It will always hold a special place in our hearts--so many good times with friends and Grace's first house with so many of her firsts in it!

After closing we hit the road and arrived in Omaha, NE shortly after Grace, Craig, and Sara, and my mom and Mike. Mark and I were up and on the road early the next morning in order to arrive in Fort Collins in time for our final walk thru and closing. Grace and Daisy stayed with Nana and Papa for the rest of the ride.

Everyone met us as the new house right after closing.

Grace loved finally getting to check out her new digs and quickly made herself right at home!

It was a crazy couple of days but overall it went pretty flawlessly!
