Words from the Williams: Pokagon!

On July 15th and 16th, the Hone family gathered at Pokagon State Park to celebrate the 80th birthday of a very special lady--Susan Hone, Grace's GG :-) Pokagon is at the border of Michigan and Indiana and is on Lake George. We have been there several times camping and absolutely love the park. This time we all stayed in the inn. What a fun few days we had celebrating Grandma Hone!

Friday was a fabulous, busy day. We started with breakfast at the inn and then took a hike with GG to the nature center, with a stop at the playground. Grace fell asleep on the walk back and continued to nap just long enough for me to do a run to the outlet mall with some of the family. After nap time we went out to the beach and enjoyed the water.

One of the highlights of the trip was getting to see Grace and Gabe together--they had so much fun!

That evening we all met on the deck for a big family picture. First, one in our polos, then one dressed up, and then the obligatory "fun" shot!

Once the big family pictures were done we headed to Mulligan's golf club for Grandma's birthday dinner. We had a cocktail hour on the porch complete with speeches and more family pictures. Then it was dinner, cake, and dancing. What a fun evening!
