Minnesota Part 6--Life on an Island

We stayed at an AMAZING resort on Lake Vermillion. Ludlow's Island has 10 cabins on it (3 of which our group occupied). Each cabin is more like a house with almost all the bedrooms having private baths, a full kitchen, great living space, a great view, and a nice fireplace. Needless to say we were spoiled!

But what, you may ask,do you do for a week on an island?

Well, you play on the beach...
Caleb enjoying the water--fully clothed!

You ride the water bikes around the island...
Lynn and Mark

If you're Lynn and Mark you also swim around the island! (It took them about 20 minutes.)

You wake up in the morning and go to the grandparent's cabin in your pajamas...

and you go to sleep at the grandparents' cabin so mom and dad can eat dinner and play games with the family. Then you get up and head back to your own cabin around 10 or 11.

On the few nights that were nice enough, you take pontoon boat rides (Grace was already asleep when we took these but luckily someone was always staying at the cabin so Mark and I got to go on the boat rides).

You catch fish from the dock...
and you catch fish from the boat...

and you fish from the shore (and look like you're doing a GQ photoshoot! Isn't he cute?!?!).

You hop from lap to lap if your name is Grace...

and you also look ADORABLE playing!
You enjoy beautiful sunsets...

and bonfires!

That's what you do on an island in Minnesota for a week!
