For the holiday weekend we headed up to Michigan. We went to Wolverine which is in northern Michigan. My mom and Mike keep a camping trailer up there at a campground. Although we only had one day of nice weather, we had a great time with them! Thanks for having us Mom and Mike!
Grace with her lei from Grandma and Grandpa Mike's trip to Hawaii
On Friday it was cold so we decided to make the drive to the U.P. and went to Tahquanmenon Falls.

One of the highlights of the trip for Grace was getting to bathe in a Grace-size bath tub.
On Saturday we had a gorgeous day so were able to take Grandpa Mike's boat out on Indian River, Burt Lake, and Mullett Lake. Grace loved the boat ride!

Feeling the wind in her face
Snuggling up to Grandma

Hanging out "downstairs"
Trying on one of her other gifts from Hawaii (don't worry, we'll get more pics of her in her hula outfit!)
I think Grace liked the boat!

After the boat ride we headed over to my Aunt Patty and Uncle Bill's. They have a cabin in Indian River. It was nice to get a chance to visit with them. As you can see, their puppy, Izzy, really liked Grace!
Sunday was an early morning...

Getting ready for church in the morning.

We took off early Sunday morning and headed to Bellaire, Michigan. Our friend, Andrew Pommerville is a pastor at the Presbyterian Church there. We surprised him and his wife (my dear friend) Rachell by showing up. Andrew did a great job and we loved seeing them, their kids, Denali and Bryce, and our friends the Brostroms--John and Danelle. We did lunch after church but unfortunately didn't get any pics--it's tough with three kids three and under!
Unfortunately our ride home took FOREVER! Traffic was terrible and we ended up with a flat tire. Luckily the tire didn't blow and we were able to change it at a gas station (we were only 20 miles from home). Always fun having to unload all of your luggage to get to the spare. Someone slept through the whole fiasco though--such a good baby!

I can't believe you were on Mullett Lake and in Indian River during the Fourth...my in-laws live on Mullett Lake in Topinabee, right next to Indian River! We may have even passed each other boating that weekend!
