The wishbone top broke off and Grace and Mark had the same size parts--I guess both of them get their wishes!

Donuts
Christmas Program
Grace had her Christmas program at school December 9th. We have enjoyed Christmas programs of past but this one was AWESOME! Kids of all ages participated (exciting to think that next year we'll have two little ones in the program) and Grace got to wear a beautiful angel outfit. They sang "Joy to the World" but not the one you would think--"Joy to the world, all the boys and girls, joy to the creatures in the deep blue sea, joy to you and me!" She loved being on stage and about half way through she spotted us and just smiled at us the rest of the performance. She was quite the performer!

I did an awful job taping because I was doing more watching. She's on the right hand of the stage so you can only see her about 1/2 the time. You'll get the gist though!
Banana Bread
Our family is fair weather banana fans. Sometimes we go through them like they are the best thing in the world and at other times, I buy them and they sit until they are rotten. But, the one good thing about rotten bananas is baking banana bread with this little cutie!

Santa comes early!
Santa visited our house early this December. Our kitchen needs some desperate updating and while the countertops and cabinets can wait, our fridge and stove were both on their last leg (we think they were original to the house which will be 20 next year) so Mark and I (oops!--I mean Santa!) took advantage of the Black Friday sales and outfitted our kitchen with a new fridge, stove and microwave (we have been using one that Mark had from college for the last 7 years!). While it means there won't be much under the tree for us this year, we love them! Aren't they pretty? Speaking of thinking they're pretty--Grace showed that she has an "Elizabeth side" when the stove was delivered. Her first reaction--"Oh my! It's BEAU-TI-FUL!" And then as she walks up and pets it, "Oh! I love it!"

SNOW!
The night that we went to the Farm for Jingle Bell Times, we got another huge snow. We've had over 30 inches this year which is double what we usually get. Grace absolutely love it and although we were promised that this part of Colorado doesn't get much snow, we have been pleased that despite the snow, we still get lots of sunshine and it does seem to melt off quickly.

Jingle Bell Times
The first Friday in December was Jingle Bell Times at the Farm. You might remember what a BIG fan Grace is of the Farm, so we had to go. They had lights out, hotdogs on the grill, a fire pit for s'mores, some arts and crafts, and a (horrible) band. We had a really nice time--although Grace was really concerned that the ducks weren't out!
