Library

We spent some time at the library last Saturday. What a fun time we had!

Gracie and Daddy time

I was traveling last week so Grace got a lot of time with her daddy. They had fun!

Grace loves her plastic ice cream cone

While I was gone Grace had one of her molars come in. She was feeling pretty bad the one night (see picture on left). By the next morning she was back to normal (see picture on right).

Two of her favorite things--baby dolls and footballs.

Fun with the Fishers!

Last weekend we made a trip to Louisville to visit the Fisher family. We had so much fun!

The girls eating dinner Friday night

And of course dessert!

Grace has outgrown her port-a-crib. We had bought her an Aero bed made for toddlers. It has raise sides to help keep her from rolling out. We gave Grace the choice to sleep in the guest room with us or to sleep in Ellie's room with the girls--of course, she chose Ellie's room! The adults stayed up quite late chit chatting and went to bed dreading the early morning wake up of the girls. Much to our surprise, we woke up before them! Grace actually slept in until 7:45! Ellie shared with us that she did start crying for us in the middle of the night but sweet Ellie got up, patted her back, and told her, "Don't worry Grace, I'm sleeping right over there. Just come get me if you need anything." And Grace went back to sleep! Mark and I are now convinced that we need to adopt a big sister for Grace :-)

Snuggling Saturday morning

Breakfast time

Tickle time!

Since Grace wanted to do EVERYTHING the big girls we did we thought we might get her to wear pigtails all day. She let Nickie put them in but they didn't stay in!

After a relaxing morning we packed up and headed downtown for lunch at the Spaghetti Factory and a trip to the Science Center.

One of the fun things at the science center was getting to touch a machine that sent static electricity to our hair

At the Food Science demonstration

The girls reporting the news

And then watching their news report

After the Science Center we went for ice cream and then headed back to the Fishers. The girls took a bubble bath together and got ready for bed. We ordered pizza, watched a little football and then begrudgingly got on the road for home. It was a great time and we cannot wait for our next family rendezvous!

Pigtails

Last night Mark got Grace to let him put pigtails in her hair. Talk about adorableness!

Unfortunately, it didn't last long--Grace has an aversion to all things in her hair.

Play Date

This morning we headed over to the Linvills so Grace could play with Porter and I could visit my friend Jenn and snuggle with little Grey. Porter got a train for Christmas and as soon as I told Jenn about Grace's fascination with trains we knew the kids had to have a play date :-)

Porter was so sweet, sharing his train and all his toys with Grace

Snacking while lunch was being made

I love this picture. They look so little at the big table!

Perhaps one of the best parts of the visit was that it tuckered both of them out. We left around 1:30 and Grace was asleep within 5 minutes. When we got home she woke up, looked at me, and said, "More nap, please, Mommy!" She slept until after 4:30! The report from the Linvill house is that Porter also took a long nap. It gave both of these mommies time to catch up on stuff around the house. I told Jenn that we're going to have to do these play dates more often!
