Seeing the Webers

Last weekend we headed to Saginaw. Sandee's daughter, Abbie was getting married. All of my dad's brothers and sisters (minus Uncle Bill) made it for the wedding. It was so fun catching up with them. While we were at the wedding, Grace got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa Applebee. They did a car show in Vassar and the Saginaw Children's Zoo. It sounds like they had an awesome time. There are cute pictures but I don't have them...yet. Once I get them. I'll post them.

The next day we did some visiting before we left town. First we stopped by Grandma Marg and Jenny's. Unfortunately, the camera didn't make it out of my purse. Next stop was my grandma's so Grace could see all of her great aunts and uncles. She definitely was the star of the show and got bonus points when she went around and gave everyone a hug and a kiss before we left. She is such a sweet girl!

"Hey great grandma!"

Grace got to meet Uncle Tim and Aunt Sissy for the first time.

On our way home, Grace didn't sleep too long and was a bit cranky. We ended up stopping about an hour and a half from home at a mall so Grace could run around a bit. She found a few rides and of course had to try them out.

It was a great weekend getting to spend some time with people we definitely do not see enough!

Gracie/Mommy Day

2 weekends ago, Mark went to Indy to play paintball with a group from our church. Grace and I had a busy day planned. We were out of the house by 8:30 and headed to the park. We were able to play for a about 15 minutes before it started sprinkling. I wanted to make sure that we got to the farmer's market so we took off. We stopped at the ATM to get cash for the market and while we were there the skies opened up and it POURED! So we headed to my favorite coffee shop downtown to wait out the rain. It was fun having her at KDees as it's where I typically go to work and we even ran into some of my school people there. Unfortunately, we could only eat muffins and read books so long before Grace got antsy. So we left--in the torrential rain. Once we got in the car (soaked) it stopped raining so we were able to do the farmer's market, another local market, and then head home for lunch and a nap. She actually slept until Mark got home--3 hours!!! I know we didn't do anything super exciting, but it was a fabulous Gracie/Mommy day, despite the rain!

A picture taken in one of the mirrored windows downtown. I put a zip-up sweatshirt of mine on Grace backwards to keep her dry :-)

A little girl

As much as I hate to admit it, Grace is no longer a baby. She really is a little girl now. I think these pictures capture that!

We had dinner at Panera a few weeks ago and when I asked if I could take a picture she sat on the floor and smiled?!

Summer in Indiana=Corn on the Cob! Yum!!!

Where a kid can be a kid

A few weeks ago our friends Andy and Abigail asked us to go to dinner--our choice of place. Last time we got together with them they teased that we should go to Chuckee Cheese. So, when they invited us to dinner, we reminded them of it. Not sure who had more fun...Grace or the adults.

I love how intently Andy and Abigail are concentrating on the game!

Pigtails!

Grace has super fine hair and the top has taken a while to catch up with the back but she is finally getting enough to put pigtails in. She doesn't keep them in but she asks me to put them in and I think she looks ADORABLE with them in :)

"Look at my hair!"

"Isn't it hilarious?"

"It feels so weird!"

"Okay, these things have to come out."

A few nights later we try it again

Cheese!!!

In so many of the pictures we have of Grace she has her thumb in her mouth. I've been trying to teach her to say "cheese" for the camera. Sometimes it works...

Dress

I don't think there is anything cuter than a little girl in a dress. Here are a few shots of Grace around the house a few Sundays ago. She got the dress from her Great Aunt Janet and it looks so adorable on her! Thanks Aunt Janet :)
