What we've been up to!

I'm not sure exactly what has kept us busy the last 2 months but it definitely feels like we've been going a lot.  Here are some highlights of what we've been up to!

 We've made brownie pops...Yum!!!

Grace took Mark to "the jump place!" on a Gracie/Daddy date night.

Mark and Grace have been busy with their "crafts"  Here is the boat they made and floated in the bathtub...

We tried out roller skates at Target and decided we'll wait until we're just a little older.

We've had a few snow storms which of course necessitated shoveling and playing in the snow!

Can you find a doodle in this picture?

We enjoyed watching the Superbowl at Mark's co-workers house and then enjoyed re-enacting it with the official Superbowl football that Nana and Papa sent us from Indy!

We had Siena (and her mommy) over for dinner and Valentine cookie decorating.

We skyped with Mama and Papa Mike as we opened the Valentine's gift they sent.

We spent a morning at Cool Beans.  Grace has wanted to take Mark there for ages!

We went through a stage where we only go to bed if we were in our closet.  It is pretty comfy in there as we have it set up as a "reading room."

Mark and Grace built a really cool "barn."

We put curlers in our hair.

On President's Day, daycare was closed so we got to go to Mommy's school in the morning and hung out in Mommy's office while she held office hours.  Mark met us for lunch on campus and then Grace worked with Daddy the rest of the day.

We got a new car!  Grace now ONLY wants to ride in "Mommy's new red car!"

While there haven't been any big "events," we've definitely had a fun time during these winter months!

Crazy Face!

Bounce!

Our first weekend back home we had a birthday party for our friend Siena.  It was at a place in Loveland called Bounce!  Essentially it's a huge building full of bouncy castles.  Grace loved it and has since made sure to take Mark there.

The Sunshine State

Our final stop on our holiday travels was Florida to visit Bobby, Megan, Aly, and meet Miss Kynlee for the first time.  Grace and I flew from Michigan and Mark met us after working back in Colorado for the week.  As Grace and I walked down through security to get to baggage, Aly was waiting at the end of the secure area and let out a "GRACE!!!!!" as soon as she saw us.  They were so excited to see each other and had so much fun.  It was tough getting them go to sleep but they finally settled down.

The next morning we had a quick breakfast and then celebrated Christmas together.  It was fun to get to see the girls open their gifts together.

After a relaxing morning we got ready and headed to the water for lunch.

That night, Megan's parents were kind enough to come babysit so we could go out for a double date.  It was a fun night out for fondue.  We got home just in time for some football and to give the girls a bath.

Then it was time for a real treat--popcorn!

Grace "practicing" being a big sister

Sunday was our beach day.  We headed for lunch first and then hit the beach on Sanibel Island.  It was a gorgeous day!  It was so fun to see Grace on the beach again--she has no fear of the water and loved going into the waves.

This is how Kynlee spent her time at the beach.

When we got home from the beach, the girls took Aly's Escalade for a spin.  I have a feeling that these photos are a foreshadowing of things to come--can we not let them get their licenses until they're 25?

Kynlee: "I want to do it too!"

That night Kyn got to try cereal for the first time.  She gobbled it up!

Blue eyes must run in the family!

  Snuggle time with the baby!

Our last day there was so relaxing.  The girls played outside, driving the car and flying kites and then we headed to the Manatee park.  It is a series of canals near the power plant that draws manatees because of the warmer water.  It was really cool!

What a great trip we had!  It is so fun to see the girls all together.  I just wish we lived closer so they could see each other more!

 Homeward bound!

Too much fun!!!
