Joint Bath
The first of many joint baths occurred on September 2nd. I had to sit on the edge of the tub and hold Laura as Mark washed her. She loved it. Who wouldn't love getting to watch your big sister and splash in the water. Love how they are already best of friends!
Labor Day weekend
We stayed home and relaxed on Labor Day weekend. On Saturday, we we took Grace (and Laura--although she just slept in her carseat) bowling for the first time. To say Grace loved it is an understatement!
You have to look closely but look who got a strike in the 7th frame!
Finished with a 70! Great job Grace!
Then on Sunday we took the girls to a CSU women's basketball game. The games are awesome. The team is amazing and you get to sit really close. They go pretty quickly and of course there are yummy snacks :-)

Nana Time
How lucky were we to have Nana here for over 2 weeks?!? We did lots of fun things but the best times were just hanging out at home. Here are some of our "hanging out" shots.
Perhaps the funniest part of Nana's visit happened the first night. Grace had been talking about having a slumber party with Nana and we said, "Sure, sometime this week." That next morning Laura woke up around 6 o'clock. Mark went into her room and as I followed he asked, "Why is Grace's door open?" I popped my head in and replied, "Because she's not in her room!" We checked the closet (she has been known to sleep in there sometimes) and were a bit frantic/panicked when she wasn't in there. We knew she must have gone down to the basement where the guest room is but we couldn't imagine her walking down two flights of stairs in the dark in the middle of the night. Mark ran down to check our suspicion, and low and behold there she was! Nana was also quite surprised when she woke up in the middle of the night and there was a body next to her! Grace slept down with Nana the rest of her trip.
President Obama
President Obama came to Colorado State University on August 28th. As soon as it was announced, we knew we had to go. This was the first time a sitting president had been to Fort Collins. Regardless of your political leanings, you have to admit that it's pretty awesome to say that you got to see the President speak. We know that it's a long shot to think that the kids will remember it but they will still be able to say "I saw the President speak." Of course he was fantastic. And I got the chills when he said "God bless you, and God bless the United States of America." Amazing day!
