Easter!

Easter weekend was a great, family-filled time. My brother and his family were in Michigan and to say that Grace and Aly were excited to see each other is a huge understatement! We got to my mom's on Friday night and the chaos began...

Taking a time out for dinner...

until they heard the train going by!

Making the Easter cake

Getting ready for bed, the girls LOVED taking a bath tomorrow and Grandma was soaked at the end of it!

Getting their hair dried

There was LOTS of squeals!

Attempting a slumber party...didn't work so well!

Dying eggs the next morning

So much fun just hanging out together...

Our little bunnies

A little video to give you an idea about the energy we were dealing with!

And then the crash!

And then up for more Easter fun...

Our finished Easter basket cake

And our traditional "tie-died" eggs

Papa Bob came over for the day and we celebrated Easter a day early. He was THRILLED to have his girls together. We had to take a lot of pics for him!

And of course the girls loved piling on top of Papa Mike, too!

Then it was time for the Easter egg hunt...

And then outside to burn off some energy with a wagon ride

And back in to find and open the Easter baskets

After dinner the girls got to open some gifts and put the money from their eggs in their piggy banks

On Sunday we headed to Indy and celebrated with Mark's family. We were lucky to have GG, G2Pa and Aunt Julie there too! Another great family day!

Checking out the real bunny who had sat on the side of the house (perfect timing!)

Happy to be with Nana and Papa

Another Easter egg hunt

The big hit was playing a dancing game on Wii after dinner. Grace was awesome at it!

Banquets

'Tis the season for end of the school year banquets. Over the last few weeks Mark has accompanied to two banquets. They were great little outings for us and a nice time to spend some time with some friends with the department.

My advisor, Dr. Stacey Connaughton--Such an amazing woman, who has taught me so much!

Storms

We had a first a few weeks ago. The tornado sirens went off. We checked the radar. And then we grabbed Grace and hunkered down in the bathroom. She barely stirred. Don't she and Daisy look comfy on the bathroom floor?

Luckily, no tornadoes touched down in our area. Our thoughts are with all of those who did experience losses due to the storms!

**And just in case you were wondering, I did promptly wash all the blankets that were on the bathroom floor!**

A weekend with Nana and Papa

The weekend we went to Colorado to find a house, Grace stayed with her Nana and Papa. She had a fantastic time! Here are the pictures and video that Nana sent us when we were in Colorado.
