I'd like an office of my own!

Just about anytime Grace wanders away we can find her in Mark's office! I think she want's one of her own!

Visiting Grandpa

We made a quick trip to visit my dad this past weekend. We drove up Friday afternoon and got to go to the fish fry at the American Legion. My dad has organized this for years and was so proud to get to show off his little grandbaby to everyone there. Grace obliged by going table to table to say "hello!"

Saturday we did visiting with my dad and Sandee. We went to the Spruce's (no pics to prove it though!) and my grandma's. It was really fun visiting with everyone and for Grace to get to spend some time with a few of my favorite people!


We ended the evening at the best pizza place ever--Pizza Sam's in Alma! Our friend Chris Porco happened to be in MI so he met us there for dinner too. Last time we went there with Grace she wasn't eating solids yet. This time she couldn't get enough of the pizza! After dinner we headed home which worked great because Grace slept the whole way :)

Harry!

A few weekends ago we had an overnight visitor, Harry Natt. Harry has stayed with us before, pre-Grace. I knew Harry would be fine with Grace because he is a low-key, gentle dog. I wasn't sure how Grace would do with a big dog though. She was a little apprehensive at first. Harry was dropped off when Grace was sleeping and when she woke up from her nap, he came into the room with me to get her. She looked a bit surprised and for a little bit she stayed away from him...

And then she decided he would be her new best friend!

Yes, Harry is under the false impression that he is a lap dog!

Please come again Harry!

Daddy's Cutie!

Come to our house any day after school and this is what you'll find--Daddy and his cutie sharing a few cuties! Mark bites each orange segment in half, eating half of it and giving the other half to Grace. She actually walks straight over to the cupboard where the cuties are kept when she gets home from school now!

Penny Pony

When I was young one of my favorite things to do was ride the penny pony at Meijer. Grace loves it now too, and--believe it or not--it's still only a penny!

A week of play!

I am terribly far behind on the blog--blame it on the start of school :) Anyhow, the following series of pictures are from the week before school started. We had Grace home all week and boy did we have fun!!!

First, we got to play in the new bins that we bought to organize our toys.


Then there was a snowstorm so we got to play in the snow...

And watch dad as he shoveled the walkway!









We also had some fun playing with Daisy--and getting her to leave her bed!



And then we got to give Daddy big hugs when he came in from shoveling.


Other favorite things to do while we were on break were talking on the phone...


And we also made our first fort with blankets over the dining room table! Not sure who liked it more, Grace or Daisy--we all even cuddled together underneath it that night to read our bedtime stories!


Finally, we spent a lot of time getting ALL of our toys out--including our cheese head (Thank you Ouradas!).
As you can see, being at home for a week without school work calling was awesome!!!
